Yet, in the same moment, a grandmother sits alone with a lifetime of stories and wisdom that no one may discover. A business struggles to demonstrate the social impact they create. A young person is connected to everything, yet feels connected to nothing. Charities and communities change lives, yet struggle for support because they are unheard and its true impact remains unseen.

Charities anticipate a shortfall of 3 million volunteers over the next year, and pro bono support from businesses has fallen from 28% in 2016 to 20% in 2025. (The Royal Voluntary Service, 2025)
Social value carries a minimum 10% weighting in public procurement, and 53% of green claims were found to be vague, misleading or unfounded, and 40% had no supporting evidence. (Deloitte, 2025)

We started on this journey when we gave our parents a gift - a simple book with blank pages and one request: share with us your story, your memories and wisdom.
We wanted to capture their life stories so that when they left this earth, we had something to treasure and to pass down to our children, our grandchildren and now our great-grandchildren.
What happened next changed everything. And we never wanted it to happen to anyone else.
