Our Story

In 2022, we started building a product.

But the more we built, the more we realised we were not simply creating technology. We were trying to give something deeply human a place to live.

The team and its partners behind the Human Impact Network have spent our lives helping people to move forward. Through business, through opportunity, through growth, through work, and through the belief that when people are supported properly, they can change the direction of their own lives and the communities around them.

Through business, through opportunity, through growth, through work, and through the belief that when people are supported properly, they can change the direction of their own lives and the communities around them.

The background of our co-creators began in international sales and marketing, helping businesses grow in value across the world. This included becoming the first partner chosen by Lloyds TSB to support their commercial customers with sales growth - launched as a national campaign and TV advert called Route Map (Prospect Finder).

But our support was never only about growth. It was about people. It was about opening doors, creating opportunity and helping businesses contribute to stronger local economies.

That same belief led us to create the UK’s first National Sales Academy, helping over 1,000 young people into work and supporting sales to be recognised as a profession with real skill, pride and purpose.

It also inspired our work with local housing associations through the Back to the Future programme, where we helped local tenants rebuild confidence, develop employability skills, prepare for work and connect with employers in their community.

A Treasured Memory Book

Some gifts stay with us forever. For our Co-Creator, Heather, it was a memory book from her dad.

Inside were pieces of his life that might otherwise have been lost. School days. Army stories. Moments they had shared together. Words filled with love, humour, wisdom and the kind of detail that makes someone feel close, even when time moves on.

It was more than a book. It was a part of him.

A way to hear his voice. To understand his memories. To feel the love, lessons and stories that had shaped his life. It became one of those gifts that does not just preserve the past. It lights the path ahead.

Not because the memories were not there. Not because the stories didn’t exist. But because she found it difficult to know where to begin. What to write. How to say something meaningful. How to turn a lifetime of feelings into empty pages. That contrast stayed with us.

One book had become a treasured legacy. Another showed us how easily stories can remain untold.

The pages were beginning to fade. The writing was slowly disappearing. The love, the memories and the meaning were still there, but the record of them was fragile.

That urgency became even more personal while Kapshoo was in development.

Heather had planned to sit with her mum and capture her stories differently. Not through another memory book, but through conversations and videos, preserving her voice, her stories, her wisdom and the moments that could never be recreated afterwards.

The intention was to bring those memories into the new technology we were building.

Sadly, Heather’s mum passed away before that was possible. It reminded us that the stories that matter most cannot always wait.

They need to be captured while people are here, while the feeling is alive, and while others can still add the pieces only they hold.

We searched for technology that could preserve not just the record, but the essence of it.

The feeling. The voice. The shared perspective. The human truth. But we could not find a place that felt safe enough, personal enough or human enough.

In a world where so much is shared publicly, judged quickly and increasingly shaped by algorithms, we knew this had to be different.

As AI begins to create different versions of reality around us, especially for younger generations, we felt an even greater responsibility to protect what is real: human memory, lived experience, shared perspective and the feeling behind the moments that shape us.

Technology could help preserve and bring stories to life, but it should never replace the human truth within them.

Kapshoo had to be a place where technology served humanity, not the other way around. A place that protected people’s most personal memories while still allowing others to contribute with love, trust and permission. So, we began listening.

We spoke with families, people grieving loved ones, those facing illness, new parents and people who wanted to preserve the stories that mattered before it was too late. Again and again, the same truth appeared.

Memories fade. Stories scatter. And even in a digital world, people still do not always feel safe enough to share what is most personal.

Too often, the encouragement to capture the moment only comes when it is no longer possible.

A place where stories could be shared with authenticity. Where memories could be preserved. Where voices could be heard and where people could add their own perspective and help build a more meaningful picture of the moments that mattered.

No ads, no judgement and privacy controlled by the people who own the story. A happy place for shared joy, reflection, healing and connection that will last for generations.

Memories that people thought had faded and conversations were happening that had never happened before. It was helping families to feel closer and loved ones were being remembered in ways that felt alive. That was when we realised this was much bigger than preserving memories.

No Boundaries.

What began at home became something much wider. Positive change was being created through love, memory, care, connection and shared human truth.

From home to work

From home to work

The more we listened, the more we realised this was not only a story about home.

The same truth was appearing in work, in communities and in the causes people care about.

In every place, the same problem appeared. The good was happening, the feeling was real and the impact mattered. But the story was still scattered.

That was the real shift - we as people have one story and it exists in many places. This was about human impact.

Businesses

Through our business relationships, we listened to leaders who were trying to create more purpose, stronger cultures and positive change through their people. They wanted to show the good being created across their teams, partnerships, suppliers and communities, but too often the real human story was hard to capture, hard to connect and hard to evidence with feeling.

Charities

Through the charities and causes we supported, we saw how much good was happening every day, often with limited resource and without enough visibility. Causes were working hard to reach the people and organisations who cared, but their stories were not always travelling far enough to create the support they deserved.

Communities

Through conversations with community leaders, we heard how local good was often created quietly by people who gave their time, care and energy without expecting recognition. But without a connected place for those stories to be seen, communities could struggle to be heard, recognised and supported beyond those already involved. They needed more people to feel connected enough to participate.

The context was different, but the truth was the same.

Good is created together. But too often, it’s disconnected. And something is lost.

Across every part of life, good was happening everywhere but without connection, too much of it remained unseen, unsupported or unable to grow. Good was happening everywhere. But it needs a connected home.

Not just the record of what happened, but the authentic feeling, shared perspective, why it mattered and the human truth of those moments.

When those moments are connected, they become more than memories.

They become meaningiful. They help people see the value of what they have created, shared and contributed.

They help businesses, communities and causes show the collective impact created through the people connected to them.
