We started our journey building a product.
We discovered we were building something much bigger.
Kapshoo began with a family memory book and grew into the Human Impact Network, a connected ecosystem for people, organisations, communities and causes.
From more than 40 years helping organisations grow, build value and demonstrate positive impact, to the partnerships we've built, to a deeply personal experience that inspired the first version of Kapshoo, every step revealed the same truth.
The good people create is happening everywhere. But it is disconnected. That realisation became the Human Impact Network.
A gift that lit our path.
Our Co-Founder Heather received a keepsake book from her father, filled with memories shared by the people who knew her best. It became one of her most treasured possessions.
Our Co-Founder Simon later gave the same kind of book to his mother. She never completed it.
That moment stayed with us. Because the stories that matter most are rarely written by one person. They are created through the people around us. The memories they hold. The moments they witnessed. The difference we made in ways we may never fully see ourselves.
A positive technology was born
That realisation became
the first version of our technology, Kapshoo.
A private, ad-free place where families could capture memories together and make sure meaningful stories were not lost.
More than 3,000 people joined the beta community. That told us something important. This was not just a nice idea. It answered a real human need.
People want to remember. They want to recognise. They want to feel that the moments and contributions that shape their lives have somewhere to live. But as we built Kapshoo, we began to see the same pattern everywhere.
Beyond Families
In businesses, good things were happening every day.
People were volunteering, supporting colleagues, helping communities, raising money, improving wellbeing, reducing environmental impact and creating value far beyond their job titles.
Charities were changing lives. Communities were being strengthened.
Organisations were doing meaningful work that mattered to employees, customers, suppliers and wider society.
But the story was disconnected. Evidence lived in spreadsheets, emails, reports, photos, memories, social posts and systems that rarely joined together.
The good was real. But too often, it was invisible.
The Human Impact Network
We realised we were not building a memory platform. We were uncovering a new category of network. A place where people, businesses, communities and causes could connect through the positive difference they create.
A place where impact could be captured as it happens, not rebuilt afterwards. A place where personal value and commercial value could finally work together. The Human Impact Network was beginning its journey into the world.
